The Steve Williams trio is Steve on tenor sax, Marc Lamontagne on keyboard and Dan Barton on drums. 

Steve Williams is one of the busiest sax players in town, and has been freelancing for over 25 years. He’s played regularly with blues master Gary Martin, rockers Dice Deluxe and The Rockin’ 58’s and Latino funk band Los Morenos. Notable among his recording credits was his participation in The Torchettes track “100 Days and 100 Nights” on the recent Calgary Folk Festival 40th anniversary compilation album release ” Cover Art”. He has always had a love of jazz, and is pleased to perform with his trio at the One Eleven Grill in Red Deer. 

Marc Lamontagne, is a Calgary based Pianist/Keyboardist musician & composer who performs mostly in Calgary and the surrounding area and keeps active musical groups Silence In B’tween, The Rockin’ 58’s and the Steve Williams Jazz Trio and on occasion piano solo work. The other facet of Marc’s musical agenda is composing music; he records & produces his work either on a solo basis or in collaboration with local artists. It’s his hope that a CD will be released at the end of this year. 

Dan Barton comes from a long line of musicians and performers. Cutting his teeth on country bar floors and early indie projects. Schooling took him to Red Deer College for study in Theatre, lighting and sound design before transferring over to music, majoring in performance and business. Since then, it’s been a long line of performances and studio sessions, working with artists such as Steve Arsenault, Samson’s Delilah, Roy Warhurst, C.R. Avery, Rachelle Van Zanten, the Dirrty Show, and many more.
